Kirk Bond, DDS
Meet Dr. Bond | Dentist Temple TX

After undergraduate studies at Austin College, I earned my DDS from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1995. My wife Leanna and I moved to Temple that same year for advanced general practice training at the Olin E. Teague Veterans Affairs Hospital. I opened private practice in Temple in 1996 and formed Cox/Bond Dental in 1999 and now have more than 30 years in clinical practice.
My clinical focus is restorative and cosmetic dentistry — porcelain veneers, dental implants, and full-mouth reconstruction. I’m trained in Facially Generated Treatment Planning through Spear Education, which means I work outward from your face and smile to your bite and teeth, rather than treating teeth in isolation. The result is a plan that fits the patient, not the procedure. More recently, I’ve focused on the connection between dentistry and overall health, particularly airway function.
Continuing education is central to how I practice. I serve as Visiting Faculty at Spear Education in Scottsdale, AZ, and remain an active member of a local Spear Study Club.
Professional memberships include:
- American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and Central Texas Dental Society
- Academy of General Dentistry and Texas Academy of General Dentistry
- Christian Medical and Dental Associations
- International Congress of Oral Implantologists
- International College of Dentists
I hold fellowships from the Academy of General Dentistry (2004), the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (2013), and the International College of Dentists (2017).
Outside the office, Leanna and I worship and serve at Temple Bible Church, where I co-teach the BibleTrek adult class. I’ve served on Temple Bible’s deacon and elder boards and previously on the boards of Hope Pregnancy Centers of Central Texas and Central Texas Christian School. I’ve been a member of Rotary International since 1996.
Our two daughters are both Baylor graduates, a speech pathologist and an artist.
When I’m not in the office or studying dentistry — which still occupies much of my “free” time — I enjoy technology, landscaping, reading, and keeping our golden doodle, Oakley, entertained. Sailing remains on the list of things I keep meaning to get back to.
I’d welcome the chance to meet you at Cox/Bond Dental.
